About/Contact

My name is Krystal, and I live in rural Appalachian Ohio. Most of my days are shaped by the land around me. The hills, the weather, the animals, and the quiet all play a part in how life moves here.

I write from inside that pace, and I build my work from the same place.

I run Persephone’s Sky, a small creative studio and nonprofit in progress. My focus is on making gentle, practical tools for people who feel overwhelmed or stretched thin.

A lot of folks in this region carry more than they talk about. Caregiving, disability, poverty, and long stretches of exhaustion are common here. I understand those realities because they have been part of my own life too.

I work alone most days, and I move at the speed my body and mind allow. Some days I get a lot done.

Other days I disappear for a while because I need the quiet. I am honest about that. I do not pretend to have endless energy or perfect routines. I do what I can, and I try to do it with care.

Writing helps me stay steady.

This blog is where I keep track of the small things that make up a life. Some entries come from simple moments, like watching a storm move across the ridge or listening to the dogs settle for the night.

Others come from harder days when my thoughts feel scattered and I am trying to find my footing again. I treat this space like a journal, but I also hope it becomes a place where others feel less alone.

I use AI as part of my workflow. It helps me organize my thoughts when my brain is tired or when I cannot find the right words. It is not a replacement for people. It is a tool that helps me keep going when I need support. I am open about that because many people work this way and do not say it out loud.

Persephone’s Sky is growing slowly. I want it to stay grounded in real needs, not trends.

My goal is to create resources that feel calm and useful. Nothing loud. Nothing overwhelming. Just steady help for people who are trying to get through their days with a little more ease.

If you are reading this, I am glad you found your way here. Whether you are curious, tired, hopeful, or simply wandering, you are welcome.

I hope something in these pages gives you a moment of rest or recognition.

Thank you for being here.
